Price increases at Orange, Bouygues and SFR exasperate subscribers

The operators had warned but the pill does not pass. More and more subscribers are discovering the price increase applied at the start of the year by Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom on most offers.

This beginning of the year marks a period of general increase in prices for most subscribers of the three national operators. Indeed, Orange, SFR and Bouygues Telecom have all three announced that they will compensate for the cost increases caused by the current economic context. The announcement had already reacted to those who have heard of it, but its realization is now visible to subscribers, who are increasingly seeing emails or inserts on their invoices warning them of additional costs. Univers Freebox offers you an anthology of posts on the social network Twitter where subscribers express themselves on the issue.

Each operator does its best to inform subscribers affected by this price increase. The palm of discretion goes to SFR and Red by SFR which for its part announces it in an insert on the invoice and not via an email sent directly to subscribers. A choice that is not to everyone’s taste.

But beyond prevention, the recurring nature of these increases which did not wait for inflation to appear is also annoying. The proof with this online petition which dates back three years.

A bad surprise which can also be exacerbated by the low basic price of the package, if the increase of 1€ may seem low in terms of amount, it can represent a significant part of the package.

And as and when increases, the package may simply no longer have anything to do with the offer initially subscribed, as evidenced by this subscriber.

Especially since in many homes, it is not just a single offer that is concerned.

And having different operators depending on the connection, landline or mobile, does not prevent worry.

Others are subject to this increase but do not necessarily feel like changing operator, for the sake of the comfort of their customer experience.

Free is the only one spared by this wave of criticism for a good reason: the operator is the only one to choose not to touch the price of its historical mobile offers. Some Internet users thus set it up as an example.
