On June 27, 2022, a new product was recalled. The store concerned is the E. Leclerc brand. According to the RappelConso site, the eggs of several brands, sold in this store in question, are the products to be recalled. They would contain, in fact, salmonella, the bacteria which are known to be responsible for salmonellosis.
Which brands are involved?
Eco+, Marque Repère, Belle France and Ecoprix brand eggs are mainly the products to be recalled. According to information sent by the official RappelConso website, they are sold in all supermarkets in France.
The products are sold in boxes of 6, 10, 12 and 20 fresh eggs from free-range hens (egg marking: 2FROIR1), from the Scamark supplier. Boxes of 10 eggs from the Ecoprix and Belle France brands, sold in Coccinelle, Cocci Market, Panier Sympa, Rapid’Market and certain independent convenience stores are also affected.

If you ever bought these products, do not consume them. Instead, return them to the point of sale or contact consumer service by telephone.
The risks caused by salmonella
As mentioned, the eggs could show traces of Salmonella spp, the bacteria responsible for salmonellosis, an intestinal disease that results in food poisoning.
If you still take these eggs, gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhoea, vomiting) may appear between 6 and 72 hours after ingesting the contaminated products. These symptoms may also be more pronounced in children, pregnant women, immunocompromised individuals and the elderly.

“People who have consumed these products and who present these symptoms are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption to him. In the absence of symptoms within 7 days after consumption of the products concerned, there is no need to worry and consult a doctor”, can we read in RappelConso.
To prevent the consequences of such contamination and destroy these bacteria, you can cook these eggs at more than 65°C.
Contaminated hams
This is not the first time that products from the Leclerc brand have been affected by the product recall. A few days ago, the white ham was withdrawn from sale due to the presence of Listeria.
There are several risks caused by Listeria. As a reminder, listeriosis is a food infection whose symptoms range from more or less high fever to headaches, including digestive disorders such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting).

The consequences of listeriosis can be serious if the person is pregnant. The fetus could be affected. The risks are also great for the elderly and people with weak immune defenses. It is best to consult your doctor if you have symptoms.
The product concerned
The cooked ham affected by this recall cannot be consumed because it is contaminated with pathogenic bacteria. So, if you still have it at home, it’s a good idea to throw it away or bring it back to the store.
Lots 22105911 of Tradilege cooked ham are affected by this recall. They should no longer be consumed, as they pose a potential health risk. These products have been sold in the Centre-Val de Loire regions and customers who have purchased them can go to the Leclerc Olivet point of sale for a refund.
